The thought processes of dog and child.

Henry: Look! That fuzzy thing that's always running away from me!
Oscar: I wonder if that squirrel that's always torturing me is out near the tree......

Henry: Gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme.
Oscar: Maybe that stupid squirrel is over that way......

Henry: YES! Jackpot! I wonder what this thing tastes like.
Oscar: AGH! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

Henry: [Evil baby giggling] That was awesome. Come back!
Oscar: That was terrible. Please, oh please, let me down. I promise I'll stop barking, start bathing myself, start feeding myself, etc. if you never ever ever let that happen to me again.

6 months old!!!

 Six month stats:
Weight: 20 lbs 13 oz - 95%
Height: 29.3 in. - >100%
Head: 18.5 in. - >100%

My sweet boy turned 6 months old while I was out of town last week, so I'm a little behind on my monthly update. Paul did a great job taking care of him, and also managed to remember to take his 6 month picture - Dad of the year!! The biggest changes we've seen in the last month include: sitting for longer on his own; new tooth that's broken through on top; and most importantly, if Paul and I leave Henry alone in a room (or if he perceives that we've left him alone), he screams until we run back to pick him up.  I'm sure that will get old after a while, but at the moment, I love that he wants us close.  Better enjoy it while it lasts!!!

Happy Easter!

Henry was not happy that we woke him up from his nap in the church nursery.  It was a loooooong 30 minute ride to lunch.....
He would stop crying every minute or so and check to make sure that I still cared.  Aren't those tears pitiful?!?

Henry's mood cleared up as soon as we picked him up and held him [eh-hem, spoiled], so we were able to grab a few non-tearful shots before lunch.

We were sad that Auntie Lauren couldn't make it into town, but were glad to see Uncle Clifton (even though the visit was way too short)!

We also managed to squeeze in a little Sunday afternoon fun before it was time for nap #2....

Having a baby has put an entirely new perspective on most of life, but especially on the sacrifice of Christ.  I am so thankful for the mercy and grace of a loving God who sacrificed it all for us.  We are so blessed.

Happy Easter to all!

1 Corinthians 15:3-4: For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
